Setting Up Your IPTV Box

 

Introduction

A Google account is required to load Apps and for Voice Control
 

If you do not wish to sign up for a Google account, you can skip this section
 

  • Go to TiVo Home | arrow left to Menu | Settings | Device Settings | Accounts and Sign In 
     
    • Sign In using Existing Google Account: (see steps)
       
      1. Go to Add Account  | Sign In | Use your Remote 
         
      2. Enter your email address and press Next
         
      3. Enter your password and press Sign In 

         
    • Create a New Google Account: (see steps)
       
      1. Go to Add Account | Sign In | Use your Remote 
         
      2. Press the Back button to get out of the email field
         
      3. Scroll down to Create Account and follow the on-screen instructions
         
    • Once signed in, go to TiVo Home | Apps | Google Play to search for and download Apps

Connecting your IPTV box to your HDTV

  • An HDMI connection is required to connect the IPTV box to a High Definition TV

 

Connecting to your network

  1. Go to TiVo Home | arrow left to Menu | Settings | Device Settings (see steps)
     
  2. Select Network & Internet
     
  3. Turn the toggle for WiFi On*
     
  4. A list of Available Networks populates
     
  5. Select your WiFi network, and enter your password
     
  6. Select the or "tab" key to enter the password (screenshot)
     
  7. The interface will read Connected

    *Unless connected to your network via Ethernet

 

Forgetting your network (starting over)

  1. Go to TiVo Home | arrow left to Menu | Settings | Device Settings (see steps)
     
  2. Select Network & Internet
     
  3. Ensure the the toggle for WiFi is On*
     
  4. Select your connected WiFi network

  5. Scroll down to and select Forget Network; to confirm, select Yes 
     
  6. A list of Available Networks populates
     
  7. Select your WiFi network, and  add the password
     
  8. Select the or "tab" key to enter the password (screenshot)
     
  9. The interface will read Connected  

    *Unless connected to your network via Ethernet

 

IP Settings

  1. Go to TiVo Home | arrow left to Menu | Settings | Device Settings (see steps)
     
  2. Select Network & Internet | IP Settings
     
    • Select DHCP; do not select Static
